We led a nearly two-year transformation of this Rockville, Maryland home, reimagining the primary suite, family room, and home office to balance natural warmth with architectural clarity. Soft tonal layers, honed travertine, walnut millwork, and tailored plaster finishes establish a cohesive material story throughout the interiors.
Designed for a busy family of four, each space was thoughtfully planned to support daily rhythms while maintaining visual calm. The primary bathroom serves as a spa-like escape, featuring a chiseled-edge travertine vanity with an integrated trough sink, a doorless plaster shower, recessed medicine cabinetry for increased storage, and modern towel warmers for everyday comfort. In the bedroom, sheer ceiling-mounted drapery, sculptural pendants, and a custom lightweight art installation create a serene, textural backdrop. The family room centers on a three-sided fireplace framed in Venetian plaster, anchored by a wall-to-wall walnut bench and live-edge floating shelves. In the office, custom built-ins, concealed outlets, and layered lighting support focused telework while preserving clean lines and discreet functionality.
Every detail was carefully executed to conceal clutter, elevate performance, and deliver lasting, livable luxury.
